Trip Overview
First Church is planning a return trip to Ghana, Africa to work alongside the people in the village of Bedaase over a two week period in April 2013. We have several objectives: 1) build a covered structure suitable for worship and programming for the local Methodist Church; 2) conduct vision and medical clinics; 3) work with the local Methodist Church in the area of discipleship for all ages; 4) continue to develop First Church's relationship with the people of Bedaase, the Methodist Church of Ghana, and in particular the ministry of Joseph Otsin who is a Ghanaian evangelist and church planter.
We are taking two distinct teams to accomplish the above objectives. The first team will focus on building and other infrastructure projects. The second team will arrive at the end of the first team's trip to focus on the programming part of the objectives. We have planned for approximately two days of overlap when both groups will be in Ghana together.
Many more details about the people of Ghana, the village of Bedaase, as well as pictures and video from the first trip are available on the blogsite http://andoveringhana.blogspot.com.
