Story Time Is Coming!

By Jason

A quick update from the Ghana team.

We had our first team meeting since returning from Ghana today.  One of the exciting parts of our meeting was that we were able to Skype with Frank in Ghana!  Frank is the pastor of the Methodist church in Bedasse.  It was a pleasure and a blessing to get to know Frank while we were there.  He helped us in so many ways, not the least of which with his ability to help translate during the vision clinics and serve as an extra screener.  It was really good to see him on the computer screen and to hear his voice again.

Skyping with Frank
The other exciting part of the gathering is that we have an invitation for you!  You are cordially invited to Story Time!  Come out to Andover on Thursday May 3rd at 6:00 pm.  The whole Ghana team will be there and we want to share the story of the trip with you.  We want to thank everyone for the support you've given us and answer any questions you may have about what went on, what we saw, what we did, and what the future may bring.

Oh, and as an added bonus we are going to have a guest with us.  Frank will be there too!  Well, not in person but via Skype on the big screen.  Frank will share his thoughts about the trip and you'll be able to ask him some questions too.

We really hope you'll come out and join in the story with us.  Be on the lookout for more updates in the coming weeks.  Until then we remain knit togehter by love...

First Stop on the Speaking Circuit

Sisters in Christ,

As you've read the blog, watched the videos, and looked at the pics did any questions pop into your mind that we didn't answer; was there anything you just wished we'd talked more about; are you thinking about going on a future trip and want to know more about it?  All women of the church are invited to attend the Sisters In Service meeting this Thursday at 6:30 pm at the Andover campus.  Mary and Vicki will be speaking to the group about the trip and their experience.  Jason will be there for a few minutes too in order to provide HIS side of how a grown man gets lost with no phone in the 21st Century.  (The story is much better when Mary and Jason tell it together).  Snacks will be served and childcare is available.

Gentlemen, if you're feeling left out don't worry.  There will be other opportunities for you to hear from us about the trip in the near future.

The trip is not over!  A part of us never really came home and there is so much more to share.  We are still updating the blog and will have more announcements in the coming days and weeks.  If you would like to receive automatic notifications whenever the blog is updated just type your email address in the box that says "Follow by email" (just under the Knit Together By Love banner on the right-hand side of the page) and you will receive an update whenever a new post is added.

We remain "knit together by love."
